OS Independent Server

The server application of Hodoman Timer is Operating System Independent. It can be installed on any version of Windows (starting with Windows 98), on any version of Linux and even on MacOS.

Although the server may run on any operating system, connecting to its interface requires a compatible web browser. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 is a compatible web browser. So, if you install the server on a Linux machine, you may connect to its interface from any other Windows machine, using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0. If you need to access the server's interface from a Linux machine, too or even directly from the machine you've installed it on, you need to download a compatible web browser or several add-on compnents for Mozilla web browser.

In case you are using Windows 98 and haven't done so yet, we recommend you to upgrade Microsoft Internet Explorer to the latest version available.
